To the memory of those who died in the Great War 1914-1918
“Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.”
“We will remember them”
Dedicated to the memory of those who died in the cause of freedom in World War II 1939-1945
“Lest we forget”
In memory of those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women of the midwest region of Western Australia who served and died for their country Australia in its hours of need
Korea (the forgotten war)
In memory of those Australians who died and in honour of those who served
“Lest we forget”
In recognition of the brave men and women of Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and Greece who, through a common spirit, defended their countries against those who sought to conquer them
Vietnam Veterans
For all who served
Honour the dead Fight for the living
My research indicates Birdwood House would be honouring the British soldier Sir William Riddell Birdwood, who commanded the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (the “Anzacs”) during World War I.
