Location Information

Youlgreave is a Derbyshire village, situated 8.3 miles north-west of Matlock and 4.6 miles south of Bakewell.  The churchyard contains 3 burials of the Great War and 2 from the Second World War

Cpl. Gilbert BIRDS. 307359. 1/6th Bn. Sherwood Foresters. 29th Jan. 1921, aged 27. Son of Henry and Mary Birds of Youlgreave. Grave in New Part 9:15

Pte. H. BRASSINGTON. 32970. 3rd Bn. South Staffordshire Regt. 1st Jan 1917, aged 26. Son of the late Benjamin & Ann Brassington. Born at Youlgreave. Grave in New Part 9:8

Pioneer M. THOMPSON. WR/23228. 316th Railway Construction Coy. Royal Engineers. 19th Feb. 1919, aged 36. Son of Mrs. Emma Thompson. Grave near south boundary
