TROISVAUX COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Troisvaux is a small village and commune nearly 33 kilometres west-north-west of Arras and 2 kilometres north of St Pol, a town on the road from Arras to Montreuil-sur-Mer. The Cemetery is on the northern side of the village.


Historical Information

In the northern part are the graves of three airmen of the Royal Air Force.


Burial Details

1595071 Sergeant George Henry Beevers, Air Gunner in 12 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 29th June 1944, aged 24. Son of Harry and Julia Ann Beevers, of Mexborough, Yorkshire.

1601049 Flight Sergeant Harvey Joseph Heavener, Navigator in 12 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 29th June 1944, aged 27. Son of Harvey Joseph and Elsie Agnes Heavener, of Courtown Harbour, Co. Wexford, Irish Republic.

176368 Pilot Officer Kenneth Alfred Underwood, Pilot in in 12 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 29th June 1944, aged 21. Son of Alfred Edward and Elizabeth Bertha Underwood, of Streatham Vale, London.
