Varennes-sur-Amance is a village and commune some 43 kilometres south-east of Chaumont, and 12 kilometres south-west of Bourbonne.
The communal cemetery lies on the northern side of the village. Within the cemetery the graves will be found three-quarters of the way up the centre aisle, with the one war grave being located on the right hand side.
