Location Information

The village of Terdeghem is 40 kilometres north-west of Lille and about 9 kilometres north of Hazebrouck. In the churchyard, west of the church and close to the western boundary, are the graves of five soldiers from the United Kingdom.


Burial Details


932084 Gunner Ronald Francis Armour, 5 Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery, died 27th May 1940, aged 21. 

4454365 Private Ralph Gradon, 8th Bn., Durham Light Infantry, died 27th May 1940, aged 20. Son of George and Margaret Jane Gradon, of Birtley, Co. Durham.
 

5383320 Trooper William Albert Grant, 1st East Riding Yeomanry, Royal Armoured Corps, died between 28th May 1940 and 30th May 1940, aged 20. Son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Grant, of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

935469 Gunner Frank Rastrick, 5 Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery, died 27th May 1940, aged 21. Son of Frank and Hannah Rastrick, of Liverpool.

872475 Gunner Major Wright, 5 Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery, died 27th May 1940, aged 23. Son of Robert and Alice Wright; husband of Ivy Agnes Wright, of Little Gransden, Bedfordshire.
