Location Information
Taillette is a village about 25 kilometres north-west of Mezières and some 3 kilometres north-west of Rocroi, an old fortress town near the Franco-Belgian frontier. The communal cemetery is immediately behind the church.

Douglas John Mole
Wireless Operator in 10 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
18th December 1944, aged 29.
Son of Albert Edward and Violet Mole; husband of Lilian Mole, of East Boldon, Co. Durham.
His headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Him"
Douglas was the son of Albert Mole who along with his Uncle, Edward Mole survived the Great War.
The following three brothers of Albert and Edward were killed in the Great War.
Corporal Benjamin Mole was killed in action on 10th December 1914, aged 29 and is buried in Prowse Point Military Cemetery in Belgium.
Private Arthur Henry Mole died of wounds on 28th August 1916, aged 23 and is buried in Heilly Station, Plot III. G. 30.
Sergeant Herbert Mole was killed on 27th October 1914 and is buried in Poperinghe Old Military Cemetery, Plot I. L. 1.
