Location Information

St Pierre-Bénouville is a village and commune 20 kilometres south-south-west of Dieppe. Dracqueville is a hamlet about 2 kilometres south-east of St Pierre-Bénouville. The British grave in this churchyard is near the north-east corner of the church.

Burial Details


6143059 Private Alfred Edward Riley, 2/6th Bn. East Surrey Regiment, died 10th June 1940, aged 21. Son of George Edward and Evangeleen Kathleen Riley, of Teddington, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "Death Touches Only The Living Our Beloved Goes Free"
