ST. MOMELIN COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information
St. Momelin is a village and commune 28 kilometres south-south-west of Dunkirk and about 5 kilometres north of St. Omer, which is a town on the N.42 road from Boulogne to Lille. The communal cemetery is west of the village and canal, on the D.213 road to the neighbouring village of Watten. The two British graves are in the western corner of the cemetery.

4274239 Corporal Stanley Spencer Aries, 9th Bn. Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, died 25th May 1940, aged 30. Son of Clemount and Rose Aries; husband of Doreen Louvaine Aries, of Tynemouth, Northumberland.
1020021 Gunner William James MacDonald, 52 (The Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Heavy Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, died between 25th May 1940 and 8th July 1940, aged 40.
