Location Information

Seraincourt is a village and commune 42 kilometres south-west of Mezières and 16 kilometres north-west of Rethel, on the N.46 road from the latter town to Montcornet and Marle. In the churchyard, south of the church, are the graves of eight airmen. Six of them belonged to the Royal Air Force, one to the Royal Canadian Air Force and one to the Royal Australian Air Force.

1531620 Sergeant George Errington, 466 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 16th April 1943, aged 20. his headstone bears the inscription "At The Going Down Of The Sun And In The Morning We Will Remember Him"

1375844 Sergeant Harold Ernest Jones, 466 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 16th April 1943, aged 21.

Son of Ernest Walter and Annie Amelia Jones, of Walthamstow, Essex. A.L.C.M. His headstone bears the inscription "He Gave His Life; Do Not Let His Sacrifice Be In Vain. Save Your Life"

406585 Pilot Officer Colin Foley Tozer, 
Royal Australian Air Force, died 16th April 1943, aged 21. Son of Reginald Arthur and Agnes Lillian Tozer, of Mount Lawley, Western Australia. His headstone bears the inscription "Thy Will Be Done"

1193463 Sergeant Richard Kitchener White, 466 Squadron, 
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 16th April 1943, aged 20. Son of Edwin Spurway White and Miriam Emma White, of Rednal, Worcestershire. His headstone bears the inscription "Greatly Loved And Missed By Father, Mother, Brothers and Sisters"
