Location Information

The village of Saussay-la-Campagne is about 20 kilometres north-west of the town of Gisors. The Churchyard lies on the northern side of the village, and near the church are the graves of two British Soldiers.


Burial Details


14218951 Trooper Joseph Denis Roebuck, 15th (Scottish) Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps, R. A. C. Died 29th August 1944, aged 20. Son of Joseph and Edith Roebuck, of Redcar, Yorkshire. His headstone bears the inscription "In Loving Memory Of Denis Ever Remembered By Mother And Beryl"

6475016 Serjeant William Charles Young, 15th (Scottish) Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps, R. A. C. Died 29th August 1944, aged 31. Son of W. J. Young and Ellen Young, of Southall, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "He Bade No Last Farewell, His Soul Has Flown Before Us But Memories Never Die"
