SAULTY COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Saulty is a village 20 kilometres south-west of Arras, and less than 2 kilometres north-west of L'Arbret, a hamlet on the N.25 road from Arras to Doullens. The communal cemetery is about 1 kilometre west of Saulty church, on the D.23E road to Couturelle.


Burial Details

6289019 Lance Corporal Walter Richard Atkins, 5th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), died 21st May 1940, aged 21. Son of Richard W. Atkins and Nellie A. Atkins; husband of Marjorie E. Atkins, of Canterbury.

6288038 Private Leslie Lloyd Jemmett, ​5th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), died 21st May 1940, aged 20. Son of Walter Bertie and Ellen Jemmett, of Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, Kent.

6288200 Private Charles Ernest Ridden, 
5th Bn. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), died 21st May 1940, aged 20. Son of Charles Ernest and Amealie Ridden, of Bobbing, Kent.
