Location Information
Salomé is a village and commune 20 kilometres south-west of Lille and 3 kilometres east of La Bassée. This is a town on the N.41 (Lille-Bethune) road 22 kilometres south-east of Lille. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the D.141 road to Hantay. The two British graves are in the south-western part of the cemetery, some 7 metres west of the main path.

2926408 Lance Corporal George Hogarth, 1st Bn. Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, died 26th May 1940, aged 32. Son of William and Ann F. Hgarth; husband of Jane W. Hogarth, of Portobello, Midlothian.
2924982 Private Joseph Strutt, 1st Bn. Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, died 26th May 1940, aged 35.
