Redon is a small town and commune 64 kilometres south-west of Rennes by the N.177 road. Sir Alan Brooke's Headquarters moved here from Vitre for a short time during June 1940. The communal cemetery is on the north-eastern side of the town at the northern end of the Avenue E. Gascon.
There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, east of the entrance, 32 metres north of the southern wall and 40 metres west of the eastern wall.

4385070 Private William Henry Kriehn, Green Howards (Yorkshire Regiment) attached to Royal Army Service Corps, died 5th October 1939, aged 32. Son of William Henry and Marie Kriehn; husband of Olive Kriehn, of York. His headstone bears the inscription "He Gladly Gave His Life For All. My Heart Is Full, My Sorrow Great. At Rest"
