Quesnoy-le-Montant is a village and commune in the Department of the Somme, 12 kilometres west of Abbeville. Head east from the southern end of the village on La Rue Blanche, join the Quartier de la Gare and the communal cemetery will be seen on the right. Against the southern boundary, near the centre, are the graves of one known and four unknowns soldiers of the United Kingdom Forces.

2927120 Corporal William Shepherd, 1st Bn. Gordon Highlanders, died 2nd June 1940, aged 31. Husband of Jeane Shepherd of Tyne Dock, South Shields, County Durham.
