Piriac-sur-Mer is a village and commune about 23 miles (37 kilometres) north-west of the popular holiday resort of Escoublac-La-Baule, which lies west of St. Nazaire. La Baule is the most convenient centre, a secondary road leading from this town through Guerande to the village. The communal cemetery, which is best reached by taxi from La Baule, is on the eastern side of the village, on this road. It contains the graves of three British soldiers, one of whom is not identified. Two are in the south-eastern (far left) corner of the cemetery and the other is near the wall on the opposite side.
Burial Details
T/136129 Driver Harry Bullock, Royal Army Service Corps, died 17th June 1940, aged 22. Son of George and Mary Ellen Bullock, of Great Wyrley, Staffordshire.
1913129 Sapper Charles Heron, 663 Artisan Works Coy, Royal Engineers, died 17th June 1940, aged 25.
