Peuplingues is a village and commune 8 kilometres south-west of Calais, lying between the coast and the main road (N.1) from Calais to Boulogne. The 1 British grave in the churchyard is some 4 metres south-east of the south-eastern corner of the church.

2044776 Gunner Walter Joseph Carroll, 1 Battery, 1 Searchlight Regt. Royal Artillery, died 23rd May 1940, aged 19. Son of John Daniel and Henrietta Sophia Carroll, of Barkingside, Ilford, Essex.
