​Location Information

​Normée is a commune 30 kilometres) south-west of Châlons-en-Champagne, and 8 kilometres north-east of Fère-Champenoise. In the churchyard, to the west of the church, are the graves of four British and one Canadian airmen.

​Son of George Fraser and Cecile Leonore MacKenzie of Spirit River, Alberta, Canada.

188929 Pilot Officer Leonard Charles Margetts, Flight Engineer in 9 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th May 1944,  aged 29. Son of William Luke and Lucy Margetts; husband of Frances Christine Margetts of Edinburgh. Coll. His headstone bears the inscription "He Hath Delivered My Soul In Peace From The Battle That Was Against Me" 

1391942 Sergeant Henry Robert Warren, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 9 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th May 1944. 


2209695 Sergeant James Wilkinson, Air Gunner in 9 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th May 1944.
