MOULIN-SOUS-TOUVENT COMMUNAL CEMETERY
Oise

Location Information

Moulin-sous-Touvent is a village and commune 66 kilometres east of Beauvais, and 18 kilometres north-east of Compiegne. The communal cemetery is located a short distance along a local road to the east. The Commonwealth war graves of 7 airmen, 5 belonging to the Royal Air Force, 1 to the Royal Canadian Air Force and one to the Royal Australian Air Force, are to the left of the centre path, not far from the entrance.

1331580 Sergeant Sidney Arthur Claridge, Pilot in 103 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve ,died 25th October 1942, aged 20. Son of Sidney Arthur and Daisy Claridge, of Stanmore, Middlesex.

1265668 Sergeant Stanley Victor Goodhew, Air Bomber in 103 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 25th October 1942, aged 23. Son of Arthur Ernest and Christina Goodhew, of Ealing, Middlesex.

1314722 Sergeant Kevin William McAuliffe, Air Gunner in 103 Squadron, Royal Air force Volunteer Reserve, died 25th October 1942, aged 22. Son of William and Mary McAuliffe, of Cork, Republic of Ireland.

R/85993 Flight Sergeant James Molesworth, Air Gunner in 103 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 25th October 1942, aged 24. Son of Frederick James Molesworth and Lillian Molesworth, of Lansing, Ontario, Canada.

547856 Sergeant Bernard Dudley Swain, Flight Engineer in 103 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 25th October 1942, aged 22. Son of Charles and Mabel Constance Swain, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; husband of Mary Swain, of Calgary.

403844 Flight Sergeant Ronald Ward Taylor, Royal Australian Air Force, died 25th October 1942, aged 27. Son of Nelson and Gwendoline Taylor, of Parkdale, Victoria. Australia.

121733 Pilot Officer Ernest Adam Wagstaff, Observer in 103 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 25th October 1942, aged 34. Son of William Adam and Mary Wagstaff, of Nottingham. Ph.D., B.Sc.
