Location Information

The village of Montgaroult is 8 kilometres west of Argentan. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the D.15 road from Argentan. There are 2 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war here, near the middle of the eastern wall.


Burial Details


144635 Flying Officer Patrick Thomas Green, Pilot in 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 5th July 1944.

137373 Flying Officer Basil Arthur Lambert, Navigator in 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 5th July 1944, aged 24. Son of Arthur Frank Graham Lambert and Laura Ellen Lambert, of Hereford. His headstone bears the inscription "Tranquil You Lie, Your Memory Hallowed In The Land You Loved"
