Mont-de-Marsan is the chief town of the Department of Landes. The communal cemetery is in the north-western part of the town, west of the Boulevard D'Haussez and north of the main road to Garein and Sarbres. The one British war grave is north-east of the entrance.

166686 Captain Thomas Anthony Mellows, 27th Lancers, Royal Armoured Corps attached to Jedburgh Team (Martin), Special Operations Executive, died 21st April 1944, aged 24. Serving with the Maquis. B.A.(Cantab.). Son of William Thomas Mellows, M.B.E., LL.B., F.S.A., and Beatrice Edith Mellows, of Peterborough, Northamptonshire.
