MOLIENS COMMUNAL CEMETERY
Oise
France

Location Information

Moliens is a village and commune 32 kilometres north-west of Beauvais, and 5 kilometres south of Abancourt. The communal  cemetery lies on the north eastern side of the village at the junction of the road from Moliens to the neighbouring village of Sarcus. 

Located in the southern corner of the cemetery are 12 Commonwealth war graves from the 1939-45 war.

1852464 Sergeant Peter Henry Baigent, Air Gunner in 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944, aged 19. Son of Anthony Warton Baigent and Lucy Edith Baigent.

1876641 Sergeant George Albert Higgins, Air Gunner in 50 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944, aged 19. Son of Alfred John and Edith Lydia Higgins, of Leytonstone, Essex. His brother, Alfred Arthur John, also died on service and is buried in Woodgrange Park Cemetery, East Ham in London.

1506834 Flight Sergeant Clifford Jackson, Navigator in 50 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944, aged 23. Son of John Tucker Jackson and Alice Jackson, of St. Annes-on-Sea, Lancashire.

1431592 Flight Sergeant Ronald Towndrow, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944.

1868828 Sergeant George Henry Tucker, Flight Engineer in 50 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 8th July 1944, aged 22. 
Son of George Henry and Maud Tucker; husband of Agnes Evelyn Tucker, of Upton, Torquay, Devon.

INSCRIPTION. SUNSHINE PASSES, SHADOWS FALL, BUT MY MEMORIES OF YOU DARLING, OUTLIVE ALL.
