The village and commune of Meurchin is about 16 miles (25 kilometres) north-north-east of Arras, and 3 miles (5 kilometres) north-west of Carvin, a small town on the N.25 road from Arras to Lens and Iille. There are bus services from both Lens and Lille, and also from Bethune, all of which have good train services. The British grave is near the south-western corner of the church.
