Historical Information
In the north-eastern part of the churchyard are the graves of three airmen, two of whom belonged to the Royal Air Force and one to the Royal Canadian Air Force.

634050 Flight Sergeant Samuel Isherwood, Air Gunner in 617 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 24th June 1944, aged 22. Son of Lucy Williams; husband of Mary Alice Isherwood, of New Springs, Lancashire.
