119252 Flight Lieutenant Alan Francis Pavey, D. F. C. Pilot in 122 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 27th July 1944, aged 24. Son of Lt.-Col. Samuel Pavey, M.C., and Eva Mary Pavey, of Hove Sussex; husband of Beatrice Pavey, of Barnet, Hertford. His headstone bears the inscription "Rest Eternal Grant To Him, O Lord; And May Light Perpetual Shine Upon Him"
