Location Information

Le Château-d'Almenêches is a village and commune 14 kilometres south-east of Argentan. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, in the south-eastern part of the churchyard.


Burial Details


1321407 Flight Sergeant Deryck James Frank Rivett, Pilot in 129 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 29th June 1944, aged 22. Son of Leonard James Rivett and Violet Maud Rivett, of Palmers Green, Middlesex; husband of Francine H. M. Rivett. His headstone bears the inscription "Their Name Liveth For Evermore. Be Worthy Of Their Sacrifice"
