Kapelle French War Cemetery is adjacent to the General Cemetery
In this War Cemetery are 229 French soldiers. Most of them died in May 1940 but there are also French casualties from commando-raids during the Second World War and those who died during the liberation of the Netherlands.
More than 600 French soldiers died in the Netherlands in the Second World War, 204 of them could not be identified. All the casualties are commemorated on the memorial.
