The small island called Île-de-Bréhat is some 41 kilometres north-west of St. Brieuc and 8 kilometres north-east of Paimpol.
From Paimpol railway station there is a bus service to Point de l'Arcouest where a ferry (which runs year round) can be taken to Ile de Brehat by "Vedettes de Brehat".
A bus service to Pointe de l'Arcouest also runs from St. Brieuc railway station.
The Commonwealth war graves are in the cemetery extension ("Sailors Cemetery"), fifty metres east of the Churchyard. Near the southern boundary are the graves of four men of the Royal Navy, only one of whom is identified.

Chaplain The Reverend William Heading Mitchell, H.M.S. Charybdis, Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, died 23rd October 1943, aged 39. Son of William Frederick Mitchell and of Elizabeth Mitchell (nee Lotka); husband of Muriel Marion Mitchell (nee Benton), of Amblecote Vicarage, Stourbridge, Worcestershire. His headstone bears the inscription "Requiem Aeternam Dona Ei, Domine, Et Lux Perpetua Luceat Ei"
