​Location Information


Huiron is a village and commune 32 kilometres south-east of Châlons en Champagne and 6 kilometres south-west of Vitry-le-François. The Churchyard is beside the Church in the centre of the village. The collective grave of 8 airmen from the Second World War (6 Commonwealth and 2 French) is located against the left hand boundary of the Churchyard.

Son of Robert Bertram Hall, and of Cleora Agnes Hall, of Herne Hill, London. His headstone bears the inscription "Our Thoughts And Deepest Love Are For Ever With You, Darling. Mother And Vi"

1874064 Sergeant Basil Featherstone Holland, Flight Engineer in 161 Squadron, 
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 5th August 1944, aged 28. Son of Harry and Edith Jessie Holland; husband of Doris Ethel Holland, of Stanmore, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "I Am Proud To Have Been The Wife Of such A Wonderful Man. Ever Lovingly Remembered"

149841 Flight Lieutenant Edward Albert Loos, D. F. C., Pilot in 161 Squadron, 
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 5th August 1944, aged 27. Son of Albert Edward and Sarah Loos, of Worthing, Sussex; husband of Joan Loos, of Carpenders Park, Hertfordshire. His headstone bears the inscription "England And Empire Had Nothing Finer To Give. Winged Knights Of St. George"
