Houplin-Ancoisne is a commune 10 kilometres south-south-west of Lille containing the village of Houplin and the hamlet of Ancoisne.
The cemetery is at Ancoisne, just south of the church. The two British graves are on the southern side of the main path, some 30 yards from the entrance.

4452238 Private John Carlton, 6th Bn. Durham Light Infantry, died 24th May 1940, aged 23. Son of Thomas and Martha Carlson, of Sunnybrow, Co. Durham.
4452954 Private Kenneth Whitfield, Durham Light Infantry, died 24th May 1940, aged 19. Son of Isaac and Jane F. Whitfield, of Gateshead. Co. Durham.
