Location Information

The village of Haveluy is 40 kilometres south-east of Lille and about 9 kilometres west of Valenciennes. The Cemetery is north of the village.


Historical Information

Near the middle of the northern boundary wall is the collective grave of seven airmen of the Royal Air Force.


Burial Details

​1615924 Sergeant Raymond Stanley Royden Booker, Flight Engineer in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945, aged 22. Son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Booker, of Hertford; husband of May Booker, of Whitley Bay, Northumberland.

2205993 Sergeant Leslie Davies, Air Gunner in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945.

2225711 Sergeant Robert Ivor Peter Eckford, Air Gunner in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945, aged 23. Son of Robert D. S. Eckford and Violette M. Eckford, of Formby, Lancashire.

1604876 Flight Sergeant Kenneth Freakes, Navigator 
 in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945, aged 21. Son of Herbert and Violet Freakes, of West Ewell, Surrey.

163723 Flying Officer Francis Joseph Hegan, Air Bomber in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945.

1589903 Sergeant Gerald Sanderson, Wireless Operator (Air) in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945.

137392 Flying Officer Edward Arthur Slogrove Pilot in 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 15th February 1945.
