Location Information

Hargnies is a village in the Department of the Ardennes near the Franco-Belgian frontier, 28 kilometres north of Mezieres and 6 kilometres north-east of Haybes, a town on the River Meuse. The Communal Cemetery is 260 metres north of the village church.

 Son of Robert and Sarah Elizabeth McGillivray, of Oamaru, Otago, New Zealand; husband of Eva French McGillivray, of North Berwick, East Lothian. His headstone bears the inscription "Steel-True and Blade-Straight"

120171 Pilot Officer Edward Francis Valentine 156 Squadron, ShipRoyal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 20th May 1942, aged 20. Son of William Francis and Eliza Jane Craig Valentine, of Netherlee, Glasgow. His headstone bears the inscription "He Died In The Service He Loved, And For That In Which He Believed"
