HAMBLAIN-LES-PRÉS COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Hamblain-les-Prés is a village and commune 13 kilometre) east of Arras and 6 kilometres south-south-east of Fresnes-les-Montauban, a village on the Arras-Douai road (N.50). The communal cemetery is on the south-western side of the village on the D.34 road to Boiry-Notre-Dame. The three British graves are on the southern side of the main path, near the entrance.


Burial Details


6980501 Fusilier Edward Donaghy, 2nd Bn. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, died 23rd May 1940, aged 32. Son of Edward and Olive Donaghy; husband of Norah Donaghy, of Greencastle, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.

108172 Second Lieutenant Hugh Richard Kerrich, 2nd Bn. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, died 23rd May 1940 ,aged 20. Son of Brigadier Walter Allan Fitzgerald Kerrich, D.S.O., M.C., formerly Royal Engineers, and Frieda Elson Hamilton Kerrich, of Ringsfield, Suffolk.

7011360 Fusilier Cecil Thomas Maitland, 2nd Bn. Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, died 23rd May 1940, aged 36.
