Guipavas is a village and commune 54 kilometres north-west of Quimper and 5 miles (8 kilometres) north-east of Brest, on the road from Brest to Morlaix. It is most conveniently reached by taxi from Brest. The communal cemetery is on the north-eastern side of the village, on the road to St. Thonan. The one British war grave is east of the entrance.

548186 Trooper Ernest Ronald Whitworth, 10th Royal Hussars, Royal Armoured Corps, died 15th June 1940, aged 26. Son of Alexander and Mary Whitworth; husband of Florence May Whitworth, of Newmarket, Suffolk. INSCRIPTION. GONE BUT NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN.
