Location Information

Guillerval is a village 50 kilometres south of Versailles, and 8 kilometres south-west of Etampes. The communal cemetery lies on the eastern side of the village. There are 3 British Airmen from World War Two buried here.


Burial Details


150079 Flying Officer Charles Ernest Austin, Pilot in 245 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 16th March 1944, aged 25. Son of Charles Ernest and Ethel Austin, of Torquay, Devon. INSCRIPTION. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, DEAR SON, I GIVE YOU MY EVERLASTING LOVE. MOTHER.

65531 Flight Lieutenant Leslie Lawrence Whitaker, D. F. C. Pilot in 161 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 4th May 1944, aged 25. Son of Harry and Mary Whitaker, of Keighley, Yorkshire. INSCRIPTION. OUR BELOVED SON.

1502741 Flight Sergeant George Williams, Pilot in 263 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 13th February 1944. Son of Owen and Mary Ellen Williams, of Wallasey, Cheshire. INSCRIPTION. FATHER, IN THY GRACIOUS KEEPING LEAVE WE OUR LOVED ONE SLEEPING.
