Fort-Mahon-Plage is a village and commune some 35 kilometres north-west of Abbeville and 8 kilometres north-west of Quend, a village on the coast road from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Etaples, Rue, and Noyelles. The communal cemetery is about 1 kilometre north of the village on the road leading to Pointe de la Dune Blanche.
Historical Information
In the north-western part is the Military Plot containing, near the centre of the northern boundary, the grave of an airman of the Royal Air Force.
Aidan Aiston was one of eight airmen who were killed when their Halifax B111 LW621 took off at 2349 on 4 July 1944 from Foulsham. Cause of loss not established.

176489 Pilot Officer Aidan Aiston, Air Bomber in 192 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 5th July 1944, aged 20. Son of Aidan and Nellie Aiston, of Ryton, Co. Durham.
