Flavacourt is a village and commune some 14 miles (22 kilometres) south-west of Beauvais, and 5 miles (8 kilometres) north-east of Gisors, a small town in the Department of the Eure. In the churchyard, west of the path between the two entrance gates, is the grave of a Canadian airman.

Brother of Lieutenant John Brookes Beveridge who died on December 7, 1941 while serving with the 4th Princess Louise Dragoon Guards. John is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery in the U. K.
His headstone bears the inscription "I Will Give Thee A Crown Of Life"
