The hamlet of Puiflijk is 2 kilometres south-west of Druten and about 22 kilometres west of Nijmegen, which is the nearest convenient centre. The churchyard is in the centre of Puiflijk. The four war graves are against the western boundary wall near the entrance, 3 from the U. K. and 1 from New Zealand. There is also the grave of Sergeant Mark Weijdt of the Dutch Forces who was killed in Afghanistan on 19th December 2008, aged 24. More details and image below.

Son of Frederick Alfred and Minnie Bertha Bond, of Enfield, Middlesex. His headstone bears the inscription "They Shall Not Grow Old. Not Only Today But Every Day In Silent Remembrance"

Son of Leonard Phillip and Louisa Ewin; husband of Lilian Florence Ewin, of Gillingham, Dorsetshire. His headstone bears the inscription "Gone But Not Forgotten"

He was deployed with the approximately 1,770 troops from the Netherlands serving with NATO forces in Afghanistan.
Sgt Weijdt died after he stepped on an improvised explosive device during a firefight near the Baluchi Valley, Uruzgan province. A second soldier was slightly wounded.
Aged 24, from Druten. He was an avid footballer and had played for SCP Football Club of Puiflijk. He is survived by his parents John and Petra, two sisters Janneke (& Maikel) and Sayra, and his girlfriend Milja.
Funeral was on held December 27, 2008 in Saint John the Baptist Church. Entombment of urn took place April 25, 2009 in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Puiflijk.
