Location Information

Estruplund is a village on the east coast of Jutland, about 26 kilometres east of Randers, to the south of the Randers Fjord. In the churchyard, to the east of the church, is the collective grave of 6 airmen of the Royal Air Force.

Son of John Clifford Charlton and Anne Isobel Charlton, of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

1673439 Sergeant Peter T. Devlin, Air Gunner in 
514 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 30th August 1941. Son of Peter Devlin, and stepson of Mary Devlin, of Carlisle.

169764 Flying Officer Walter Ernest Gibbs, Air Gunner in 
514 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 30th August 1941, aged 36. Son of Walter and Florence Gibbs; husband of Muriel Gibbs, of Hull.

1398590 Sergeant Kenneth Martin Goodman, Air Bomber
 in 514 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 30th August 1941, aged 21. Son of Ernest William Goodman, and of Ada Goodman, of Stoke Newington, London.

1893522 Sergeant Reginald William Pomroy, Flight Engineer in 
514 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 30th August 1941, aged 23. Son of William John Pomroy and of Alice Pomroy (nee Bloomfield); husband of Violet Sylvia Mary Pomroy (nee Wilson), of Langley, Essex.

1523782 Sergeant Norman Stevens, Navigator in 514 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 30th August 1941, aged 2​0. Son of Edwin and Edith May Stevens, of Crook, Co. Durham.
