CYSOING COMMUNAL CEMETERY

Location Information

Cysoing is a small town on the main road N.355 from Lille to St. Amand. It is some 8 miles (13 kilometres) south-east of Lille and 12 miles (20 kilometres) north-west of St. Amand. The communal cemetery is at the north of Cysoing, on the D90. The 6 Commonwealth war graves are located a short distance from the central war memorial.

7885681 Trooper John Henry Banks, 4th Royal Tank Regiment, R. A. C., died 19th May 1940, aged 24.

7887723 Trooper Percival Frederick Booth, 4th Royal Tank Regiment, R. A. C., died 19th May 1940, aged 34.

7887587 Trooper Herman Kenneth Sicilian Millett, 4th Royal Tank Regiment, R. A. C., died 19th May 1940, aged 22.
 Son of Herman William and Bertha May Millett, of Sunbury, Middlesex.

518372 Sergeant Gilbert Mackenzie, Pilot in 253 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 19th May 1940, aged 23.
 Stepson of Mr. A. G. Clark, of Olney, Buckinghamshire.

78877971 Trooper Albert Newton, Royal Tank Regiment, R. A. C., died 19th May 1940, aged 36.
