Crèvecoeur-sur-l'Escaut is a village and commune 8 kilometres south of Cambrai.
The cemetery is 1 kilometre north of the village on the D.76 road to Cambrai. Near the middle of the southern boundary fence are the graves of three airmen of the Royal Air Force.
Historical Details
Four crew members from 18 Squadron were killed when their Blenheim IV L9254 was believed to have been shot down. Three crew members are buried here and Sergeant Thomas John Mongey is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Gouy.

70654 Flying Officer Arnold James Stuart, Pilot in 18 Squadron, Royal Air force, died 16th May 1940, aged 29. Son of Dr. Arnold Jacob C. Stuart and of Sophie Christine Alide Stewart (nee Engelbrecht), of Hampstead, London. M.A.(Cantab.). His headstone bears the inscription "Forward"
