Location Information
Corbeil or Corbeil-Essonnes is a town south-south-east of Paris. From Paris take the motorway A6-E15 in the direction of Lyon. Take the N104 exit at/after Evry and follow the N104 to Corbeil. The communal cemetery is near Corbeil Station. It is called "Cimetiere des Tarterets". the grave of one Canadian airman of the 1939-1945 War is south of the entrance, and in the French Military Plot is the grave of a British soldier of the 1914-1918 War.

The opening times of the cemetery are: Summer period: 1 April to 30 September 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Winter period: 1 October to 31 March 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

G/7187 Lance Corporal Alfred Berry, "D" Company, 2nd/4th Bn. The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment), died 28th June 1918, aged 21. Son of George and Elizabeth Berry, of 18, Deerings Rd., Reigate, Surrey. INSCRIPTION. PEACE.

J/26287 Flying Officer Leonard Gold, Navigator in 78 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 8th June 1944, aged 27.
Son of William and Pauline Gold; husband of Margaret Ellinor Gold, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
