Location Information

Colijnsplaat is a small town in the north eastern part of the island of Noord-Beveland. It is part of the Noord-Beveland municipality located in the province of Zeeland, in the south-western Netherlands. It is approx 13kms north of Goes. The 2 graves are located centrally on the right side of the cemetery next to boundary hedge, soldier from the United Kingdom and an airman from Australia. The soldier is not identified The cemetery address is: -Colijnsplaatseweg,Colijnsplaat.


Burial Details


427833 Flight Sergeant John Parr Ion, Royal Australian Air Force, died 31st August 1944, aged 20. Son of Thomas Parr Ion and Olive Ion, of Wembley, Western Australia.
