Location Information

Clamart is a town in the south-west of the "Banlieue" of Paris. As the communal cemetery is large it would be advisable for visitors to request the caretaker's help in finding the grave of the one British airman buried here.


Burial Details


1875086 Sergeant Ronald Frederick Howell, Air Gunner in 640 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 25th July 1944, aged 19. Division N. Son of Albert Henry and Rosalind Pearl Howell, of Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. His headstone bears the inscription "In Proud And Constant Memory Of Our Dear Ronnie. Ever In Our Thoughts"
