Location Information

Châtellerault is a town and commune some 19 miles (30 kilometres) north-east of Poitiers. The communal cemetery is on the northern outskirts of the town, on the west of the main road to Tours. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, to the right of the round central path.


Burial Details


T/283056 Lance Corporal Thomas Henry Barker, 282 General Transport Company, Royal Army Service Corps, died 8th December 1944, aged 39. Son of Harry and Mary Jane Barker, of Littleborough. Lancashire; husband of Ruby Barker, of Stubley, Littleborough. His headstone bears the inscription "Them Also Which Sleep In Jesus Will God Bring With Him"
