Location Information
Chaintreaux is a village and commune in the Department of the Seine-et-Marne, 31 kilometres south-south-east of Fontainebleau, and 15 kilometres south-east of Nemours. From the main crossroads in the centre of the village, take the Rue de la Mairie heading north-east and the communal cemetery is 500 metres along this road on the right. The joint grave of 2 airmen, 1 from the United Kingdom and 1 from New Zealand, is some 18 metres south-east of the monument in the centre of the cemetery.

Sgt. L. Wesley was taken prisoner.

391001 Warrant Officer Leslie Harry Lissette, Pilot in 207 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force, died of injuries 4th May 1944, aged 26. Son of Harry and Nellie Georgina Lissette of Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
