Location Information

​Campagne-lès-Wardrecques is South-East of Saint Omer in the Pas De Calais region. The churchyard is located in the centre of the village.


Identified Casualties 6.

All the graves are located at the Near North-East corner of Churchyard.



Burial Details World War One


8635 Private H. P. Aldir, 1st Bn. Coldstream Guards, died 9th June 1917.

E/42289 Private G. W. Harris, 9th Bn. Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), died 18th May 1918.

54340 Private H. A. Lester, 13th Bn. Devonshire Regiment, transferred to the (102889) 67th Bn. Labour Corps, died 28th August 1918, aged 19. Son of Mrs. Alice Lester, of 22, Bedford St., Forton, Gosport, Hants.



Burial Details World War Two

828283 Lance Bombardier Norman Frank Buttigieg, 6 Bty. 2 Searchlight Regt., Royal Artillery, died 22nd May 1940, aged 21. Son of Frank and Olive Buttigieg, of Stoke, Devon.

1509114 Gunner John Edward Hunt, 6 Bty., 2 Searchlight Regt., Royal Artillery, died 23rd May 1940, aged 21.

6210440 Fusilier Thomas Moore, 9th Bn. Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, died 24th May 1940.
