653213 Sergeant Eric White, Flight Engineer in 426 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 13th June 1944, aged 24. Son of Mr. & Mrs. Alfred White of Sutton Valence, Kent

Target: Cambrai, France
Incident: The aircraft crashed near Villers-les-Cagnicourt in the Pas-de- Calais on the 13th June 1944
Of the eight crew, Sgt. White is buried here, Sqdn. Leader I. M. McRobie is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. Two airmen, Flying Off. G. W. Bedford and WO 2nd Class M A Brazey were taken prisoner. Fl. Sgt. A H Hammond, WO 2nd Class C A McLeod, P/O Daniel Murray and Fl. Sgt. Bremrose evaded capture, possibly with the help of local people.
