Location Information

The town of Buren is situated to the north-east of Tiel. From the motorway A15, which runs between Arnhem and Rotterdam, turn off at Tiel-West and follow the direction for Buren. On entering the town follow the main road through the town in the direction of Culemborg. The cemetery is along here on the left next to the park.

The cemetery contains seven U. K. Airmen from World War Two.

All seven Airmen were in 102 Squadron and killed on 17th June 1944

Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 20. 
Son of George H. and Rosina F. Putt, of Keyham, Devon. His headstone bears the inscription "His headstone bears the inscription "May The Winds Of Heaven Blow Softly On This Quiet Spot. Your Loving Mam"

1800815 Sergeant Winston Alyerstone Reid, 
Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, aged 26. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Oscar Reid; husband of Helen Evelyn Reid, of Peel, Isle of Man. His headstone bears the inscription "Life Is But A Fading Dawn Lead Us, O Christ, When All Is Gone Safe Home At Last"
