Location Information

Beaurepaire is a village 38 kilometres south-east of Beauvais and 4 kilometres west of Pont Sainte Maxence. The Communal Cemetery lies on the outskirts of the village and is reached via the road from Pont Sainte Maxence to Creil. The cemetery contains the graves of 2 airmen of the Royal Air Force.

Son of Leonard Charles and Dorothy Ida Pitfield, of Hobart, Tasmania.

 "O Brother Man ! Fold To Thy Heart Thy Brother"

580936 Sergeant John Ballantyne, Observer in 88 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 12th June 1940, aged 23. Son of John and Alexandra M. M. Ballantyne, of Juniper Green, Midlothian. His headstone bears the inscription "Until The Day Dawns"
