Bayonne is a large fortified cathedral town, and commune, in the Department of the Pyrenees Atlantiques, 6 kilometres east of Biarritz, on the Bay of Biscay. The communal cemetery (St. Leon) is south of the main road to Biarritz. It contains seven war graves, which are all south of the main entrance. They are the graves of one soldier belonging to the forces of the United Kingdom; five soldiers belonging to the forces of South Africa and one soldier who belonged to the Army of undivided India.
